The purpose of the Bucharest Conference is to serve as a starting point for discussions and future work aimed at addressing media coverage of diversity in new EU countries.
The purpose of the ‘Media for Diversity in New EU Countries Network’ is to serve as a platform to continue the discussions and work started at the conference.
It will enable everyone to keep in touch with all the other conference participants, to continue discussions and work on the action plans developed at the conference, and to update everyone on progress that has been made.
It offers a space to make announcements, to discuss plans and projects and have debates, as well as a space to share photos and videos.
The network is a group that has been set up within the networking facility available on the Media Diversity Institute Portal. It is user-friendly and very easy to use. It is like a simple version of Facebook for those who are familiar with that social networking site. The network will be presented and explained further at the conference.
Joining the Network
First of all you need to create an account on the Media Diversity Institute Portal. Click here to create an account- You must activate your account by clicking on the link in the ‘Account Activation Email’ that will be sent to you (please note: sometimes this email will go to your junk mail).
- Login to your account and return to this page via the link on the English Portal homepage in the ‘News & Events’ box.
- Click on the ‘Go to Network’ button on the right.
- Click on ‘Join group’ in the middle of the page to join the group.
Accessing the Network
The ‘Media for Diversity in New EU Countries Network’ can be accessed at any time via the ‘Network Name’ or ‘Go to Network’ buttons above on this page, or via the main Portal network section.
