The Media Diversity institute is to hold a training workshop ‘Reporting Diversity Curricula Development’ in Tunis, Tunisia, 23-25 September 2011. The workshop will be an opportunity for academics from the MENA region and the UK to discuss the ways in which media coverage of diversity issues can be included in journalism/communication curricula, as well as provide an opportunity for module development.
The workshop is funded by UNESCO Rabat, and organised in partnership with Institut de Presse et des Sciences de l’Information (IPSI), Tunisia.
MDI works with media organisations, journalists, journalism educators, NGOs and governments to prevent and reconcile conflict, promote tolerance of vulnerable groups, and stimulate balanced and non-partisan journalism.
