Training Programme for Southern African Female Journalists Open

Women who managed newspapers in Botswana, Namibia or Zambia for at least two years can apply for a leadership program.

The World Association of Newspaper and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) seeks applicants for Women in News (WIN), a leadership development program aiming to advance and empower women in African media.

Fifteen women will attend events in each country and finally the WIN Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Events include one-on-one coaching sessions with professional and experienced trainers, building personal and realistic professional action plans, mentoring with business professionals and peers, skills development and training modules focusing on topics identified by participants as being instrumental in their professional development.

The deadline is February 24.
