Responsible Journalism Training Course for Moroccan Newspaper Journalists

The Media Diversity Institute is organising a 5 day production-oriented training course in Tangier for Moroccan newspaper journalists  from the Tangier-Tetouan region. The course will focus on how to report on sensitive issues in a responsible manner, and will cover subjects such as freedom of expression, political opposition parties, journalism ethics, marginalised communities, domestic violence, and corruption.

Stories ready for publication will be produced during the course, which will be run by Jean-Michel Duffrene, Programme Director at French Radio London and a former BBC Editor, and Safi Naciri, Editor in Chief at Moroccan SNRT National Radio.

Applicants must work for a newspaper in Morocco, have no formal journalism education, commit to produce a story by the end of the course, and publish the story in their newspaper.  The course will be conducted in both Arabic and French.
