A comprehensive fatwa prohibiting terrorism and suicide bombing was issued by Shaikh Dr Tahir ul-Qadri, the founder of the international Minhaj-ul-Quran movement, on 2 March 2010, at a press conference in London, organised by the Quilliam Foundation. Minhaj-ul-Quran is a major grass-roots organisation with hundreds of thousands of followers in South Asia and the UK.
