Grants available for broadcasters in Kazakhstan

Deadline: February 14, 2010

Country: Kazakhstan

Broadcast and video journalism organizations in Kazakhstan can apply for grants to support programming related to corruption, law, gender issues or the economy. Deadline: February 14.

The grants will be aimed at improving journalistic quality and boosting professional exchanges and networking between independent broadcasting companies in Central Asia. Preference will be given to bilingual TV series in Kazakh and Russian, or those in Kazakh only. Grants support only those projects which already have other significant contributions (from 30% to 50%).

Programs can be talk-shows, specialized reporting, analytical programs, investigative journalism, video journal and more.

The program is supported by USAID and Internews Network in Kazakhstan.
