Journalists covering religion can apply for an award. The deadline is February 1. Register by January 13 for a discounted fee.

The Religion Newswriters Association (RNA) Awards for Religion Reporting Excellence honor journalists from newspapers, magazines, broadcast outlets, online outlets, student publications and book authors who write about religion.

The contest features 19 awards in six media categories and US$10,000 in prizes.

The entry fee ranges from US$50-150 for non-members. Joining RNA can save entrants up to US$75.
