Journalists from South Africa who have covered topics related to mental health are invited to apply for a U.S.-based fellowship to educate local journalists about mental health issues.
In addition to receiving US$10,000 in funding, fellows will receive flexibility to complete a reporting project that should educate the public or inform other journalists on mental health. Throughout the fellowship year, participants will attend training at the Carter Center in Atlanta in the U.S.
The program, the Rosalynn Carter Mental Health Journalism Fellowship, is sponsored by The Carter Center.
